SHARON K. CUSHINGBERRY was born in Houston, Texas, and is a partner at Cooper & Cushingberry, LLP. She is a proud graduate of the University of Houston (Bachelors of Arts Degree), and Thurgood Marshall School of Law (Doctor of Jurisprudence).

Ms. Cushingberry’s ‘legal life’ has taking a winding curve that initially began with her handling cases for a prominent personal injury attorney in Houston. Her path and career proceeded into the oil and gas industry where she worked as Senior In-house Counsel for a Fortune 500 energy company. After 17 years in Corporate America, she recognized that she needed to follow her passion and commitment to those who have been harmed and are now suffering from another person’s (or company’s) carelessness.

Ms. Cushingberry has extensive experience in civil litigation, automobile accidents, premises liability, construction, dram shop liability, and general negligent cases. She has also handled complex personal injury and death cases, including but not limited to pipeline explosions, trucking accidents and toxic tort cases.

As a former Girl Scout Leader and active volunteer at her church, Ms. Cushingberry is determined to make a difference in the community. She feels extremely blessed to be in a position to help our clients navigate through the tough terrain of insurance company battles and the legal ramifications that often occur.
